CFA and local property owners put out a grass fire and large downed tree near Mudgegonga, Tuesday 10th February 2009. Part of the estimated 30,000ha of land devastated on Saturday the 7th of February in the 'Beechworth fire'. The Beechworth fire was one of many bush fires that raised the state of Victoria killing hundreds of people and destroying over 750 homes.
